Why JM Legg Hotshots

We understand the cost of downtime and the urgency of critical parts. Our leadership background is Workplace Health and Safety and Industrial Emergency Services, so safety, Chain of Responsibility and compliance are part of every run, not paperwork bolted on afterwards. Built for the jobs that can't wait.

  • Safety and Chain of Responsibility on every run. Fatigue management, load restraint and site-ready documentation handled up front.
  • Right-sized and direct. Smaller loads on a truck that suits them, running to your site instead of waiting on a bigger carrier. You're not paying for the truck, you're paying for certainty.

Common questions

What is hotshot freight?

Hotshot freight is urgent, dedicated transport for a single load that cannot wait for a scheduled service. JM Legg Hotshots picks up your freight, usually parts, tooling or components for mining and industry, and runs it to the site that needs it, from Perth across Western Australia and interstate. It goes on its own run, so it isn't waiting on anyone else's load.

Where does JM Legg Hotshots deliver?

JM Legg Hotshots is based in Midland and runs hotshot freight from Perth across Western Australia: the metro industrial hubs, the Mid West, the Goldfields and Kalgoorlie, the Gascoyne, the Pilbara and Tom Price, and the Kimberley, including remote mine sites. It also runs interstate to South Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland, and Australia wide. Call 0407 538 562 or use the online quote form.

How does the online estimate work?

The quote form asks where the freight is, where it's going, how heavy the whole load is and whether the run is urgent or planned. The price is per kilometre of road distance from pickup to delivery, one way, and the rate depends on the weight and the urgency. A set amount of loading and unloading time is included, and extra time on site is charged as demurrage. When the form can find the route, it shows an indicative figure straight away, with the fuel levy and GST already included. It gives no automatic figure when it can't find the route or when the load is over 12 tonnes: call or send the request, and Jarrad comes back to you. Any figure is indicative, not fixed, and Jarrad confirms the final price with you before anything moves.
